What's New in Collegio Football 2006

This version of Collegio Football covers the 2005-2006 NCAA College Football season and contains hundreds of enhancements, expansions and refinements, all of which are meant to make your experience using the program even more informative and enjoyable.

New Conference, Team, and Player Details

         New I-A teams:  Florida Atlantic and Florida International...both with complete historic data

         New conference alignments...16 teams playing in new conferences this season

         New conference divisional setups for the ACC and CUSA

         New Alma Mater and graduation year details for over 1,100 assistant coaches (as well as all 119 head coaches)

         Newly expanded Futures Schedules screen now shows 10 years of future schedules (a 66% increase), with a 92% increase in the number of future games listed

         Newly enlarged Historic Winning Percentages trend graph on the “History” tab of Team Properties screen to better show and select individual years

         Newly enlarged “Schedule & Results” tab of the Team Properties screen now can show up to 14 games without scrolling

         Newly enlarged Conference Composite Schedule screen now shows all teams without the need for horizontal scrolling

         New “Game Name” descriptive text (including rivalry and/or game trophy names; e.g., “The Apple Cup”) added both in tooltip form on the “Schedule and Results” tab of the Team Properties screen as well as in on-screen textual form on the Head-to-Head Matchup screen

         New Opponent's Schedule on the “Schedule and Results” tab of the Team Properties screen...click on an opponent an quickly see its schedule

         Newly expanded Alumni Current I-A Coaches screen shows all alumni of a given school who are coaching at the NCAA I-A level, both head coaches and now assistants (new)

         New full display of contact info for Presidents and Football Media Relations Contact (previously just names only) on the “Contacts and Radio” tab of the Team Properties screen

         New Admissions Director contact info (name, address, phone, and fax) on the “School Info” tab of the Team Properties screen

         Newly added Alma Mater lyrics for 9 schools

 

New Digital Broadcast Technology Coverage

         Newly expanded HDTV coverage listings, including broadcast format (1080i, 720p, etc.) in tooltip

         New Satellite Radio coverage listings for Sirius (tm) and XM (tm), shown on four different screens:

         Team Properties screen (“Schedule and Results” tab)

         Head-to-Head Matchup screen

         This Week’s Games screen

         TV and Radio Listings screen

 

New Web/Internet Features

         New choices for game-site weather forecast WebLinks:

         Netscape (tm)

         Yahoo! (tm)

         New academic reference WebLinks to the College Board (tm) and ACT (tm)

         New College Football Hall of Fame WebLinks allow you to double-click on a Hall of Fame member and jump to the Hall’s website for more member details, a photo, and a bio

         New Media Contact info and tools for Awards screen, including e-mail, phone dialing, vCard export, and mailing address copying tools

         New College Football Hall of Fame member “familiar” first names (e.g., “Bob” Devaney)

         Newly expanded College Football Hall of Fame player nicknames listings

 

User Interface Improvements

         Newly expanded screen sizes take advantage if today’s larger monitors to bring you more data and less scrolling

         Newly enlarged Tabs on the Team Properties screens (with bolder font) for quicker identification and selection

         New Smart Double-Click option (registration required) for main screen with 4 double-click behavior options from which to choose (see Tools / Options... / Display)

         Newly updated logos for 6 conferences, 5 teams and 8 bowls

         Newly improved printing on several screens, including auto conversion to Landscape mode

         New toggle of Open Date placeholders for the “Future Schedules” tab of the Team Properties screen (see Tools / Options... / Display)
